An in-depth study that stresses the importance of the imagination in the psychotherapy of borderline conditions. Psychoanalytic theory object relations and developmental approaches are combined with a Jungian archetypal orientation to delve into deep structures within the borderline sector and the analytic encounter. Nathan Schwartz-Salant trained as a Jungian analyst in Zurich. He is director of the Center for Analytical Perspectives in New York and has a private practice in New York City and Princeton.
