2012: BIOGRAPHY OF A TIME TRAVELER The Journey of José Arguelles Stephanie South
What if someone told you that you were living in the wrong time and that the unparalleled catastrophes of the world were largely due to an erroneous perception of time? Would you believe it? 2012: BIOGRAPHY OF A TIME TRAVELER is the authorised biography of José Arguelles, the man who first introduced the date December 21, 2012 into the mass consciousness with 'The Mayan Factor'.
Following a life-changing vision at age 14, atop the Pyramid of the Sun in Teotihuacan, Mexico, Arguelles began a lifelong journey to discover the underlying mathematics and prophecies associated with the Mayan calendar. 2012: BIOGRAPHY OF A TIME TRAVELER is an engaging journey through the inner and outer realms of this visionary. As the story unfolds, we follow Arguelles through many startling synchronicities and transformations of consciousness. Through his epic saga, we may discover that every detail of our own lives is, also, precisely designed, down to the most seemingly mundane circumstance.
Through uncovering the Mayan codes, Arguelles was led to discover the telepathic nature of time. He also realised that the human species is living in artificial time, which is disrupting its planetary environment and destroying its civilisation. This book sheds light on the crisis our planet is undergoing today and offers clues about how we can realign with natural time to make a peaceful transition on December 21, 2012.

AMERICAN SPY FATHER AND HIS DAUGHTER IN COMMUNIST CHINA The Hopes of Two Generations Yuci Tan
Born in Beijing, China in 1955, Yuci Tan and her "American-spy" father lived through very difficult times together during the Cultural Revolution, which began in 1966 and lasted for ten years.
Her Chinese father - raised in Hong Kong and educated in a Christian school - worked as editor and English translator for China's International News Agency. During the Cultural Revolution, her father was incarcerated as a disloyal traitor - a spy for the Americans (untrue!) - and the authorities ordered her to cut off all relationship with him.
In this provocative and vividly descriptive narrative, Yuci Tan details the many facets of 1970s Chinese society and the hardships endured by common people under the Communist regime. All the while, her father, under intense political pressure and scrutiny, somehow managed to single-handedly raise and educate her, as only a totally committed and loving father could. Despite these hardships, Yuci Tan consulted her inner world for guidance and stood up to the authorities in support of her father. Although the government forced her to be re-educated through hard labour, she took a unique look at things. She learned to value every present moment to minimise her suffering.
More than an insider's history of Mao's Regime, AN AMERICAN-SPY FATHER is a moving and memorable expose, featuring the colourful lives of many forgotten people. Yuci Tan offers therapeutic insights along the way and used these experiences to pursue her dream of ultimately becoming a doctor - and fulfilling the dreams of two generations. At heart, her personal story is a daughter's loving appreciation for an unforgettably kind and wise father.
AND THEN WE WENT FISHING A Story of Fatherhood, Fate and Forgiveness Dirk Benedict
From actor Dirk Benedict comes this brilliant autobiographical telling of two unique and engrossing events that had an enormous impact on his life. He intertwines the story of his wife's unexpectedly complicated home birth with his own coming of age in Montana - and the violent death of his father. Past events of love, friendship, hatred and fatherhood culminate in a dramatic explosion before him, linking his father's death with the birth of his first child.
Benedict's writing style is lively, creative and always engaging. His use of humour, pathos, and imagery is masterful. He has taken two rites of passage in his life and woven them together to produce a story that is every bit as entertaining as it is moving.
Given Dirk's unique storytelling ability and well-honed sense of timing, AND THEN WE WENT FISHING will keep you hooked from page one to its powerful, poignant conclusion.

AUTOBIOGRAPHY OF A SADHU A Journey into Mystic India Rampuri
After travelling at age 18 from his native California to India in 1969, Rampuri was drawn to the Naga Babas, an ancient and wild order of naked yogis whom he calls the “Hell's Angels of Indian Spirituality.” Organized into a sect by Adi Shankara in the 5th century BC, the Naga Babas see themselves as the ultimate protectors of the Sanatan Dharma, or what we call the Hindu religion. Rampuri became a disciple of a Naga Baba—a master shaman sadhu—from Rajasthan and, as foretold by astrological prophecy, soon found himself the first foreigner to become an initiate of the Juna Akhara, the oldest and largest grouping of Naga Babas with more than 50,000 sadhu members.
From drinking the “Nectar of Immortality” at the source of the Ganges River to allegations of tantric murder, this autobiography is filled with true accounts of magic, miracles, ghosts and austerities, with lessons on Hindu gods, ayurveda, mantra and Indian culture woven throughout. Through his journey of extremes, Rampuri takes us into the mystic heart of India.
• By the first foreigner to become a member, and later an elder, of the Juna Akhara, the oldest and largest grouping of Naga Babas • Filled with true accounts of magic, miracles, ghosts and austerities • With lessons on hindu gods, ayurveda and Indian culture woven throughout
When The AVALONIANS was first published in 1993, it placed before the world previously unknown or unexplored aspects of the Glastonbury story and its personalities. The seminal figure who emerged from the shadows to become the prime mover and shaker of everything that followed was shown to be the medic and antiquarian John Arthur Goodchild who died in 1914. Under what seemed to be psychic direction, he placed a curious glass vessel within the waters of a spring outside the town known as Bride's Well. This took on the character of a kind of ritual enactment, requiring a woman to receive the inspiration to retrieve it. If she did, the world would be changed. In the later stages of this experiment he involved his friend, who bore the dual literary personality of William Sharp/Fiona Macleod.
True to Goodchild's design, the object was indeed recovered as hoped for, and events took on a momentum of their own to draw in such young enthusiasts as Wellesley Tudor Pole and his “triad” of maidens. Others soon arrived to include the educationist Alice Buckton, the architect and psychical researcher Frederick Bligh Bond, the composer Rutland Boughton - much indebted to Fiona Macleod, and the occultist and white magician Dion Fortune.
The author and publishers agree that the time has now come to review and expand the material originally presented in The AVALONIANS in the light of new information and research. While retaining much of the original text, every effort has been taken to ensure that this second edition is even more accurate than before, taking care to respect its deserved acclaim as the definitive account of the Avalonian revival.

BEDE GRIFFITHS An Introduction to his Interspiritual Thought Wayne Teasdale
Bede Griffiths - English Benedictine monk and lifelong friend of C. S. Lewis who was his tutor at Oxford - wrote in 1955 to a friend: 'I'm going out to India to seek the other half of my soul'. There he explored the intersection of Hinduism and Christianity and was a driving force behind the growth of inter-spiritual awareness so common today yet almost unheard of half a century ago.
Wayne Teasdale a long-time personal friend and student of Griffiths provides readers with an intriguing view into the thoughts beliefs and life of this champion of inter-religious acceptance and harmony. This volume is the first in-depth study of Bede Griffiths' contemplative experience and thought.

BITING ANOREXIA A First-Hand Account of an Internal War Lucy Howard-Taylor
'My name is Lucy. I am in recovery from anorexia nervosa and major depression, each of which almost killed me.' So begins this extraordinary depiction by an 18-year-old woman of her descent into the tortured existence of anorexia and her arduous and remarkable recovery from it. BITING ANOREXIA is unique in that much of it was written while the author was in the grips of the condition. This searingly honest account details Lucy's struggle to literally claw herself back from the point of no return and then to overcome an almost harder battle ... that of recovery. Anorexia nervosa is the most fatal of all psychiatric illnesses - and recovery the bigest hurdle. Lucy says: “To challenge an eating disorder, or any mental illness, is to wage a prolonged, painful and devastating war “ it is the most confusing and emotionally draining part of the illness. Lucy's penetrating insights, beautifully written and tinged with a wicked sense of black humour, have the power to capture, reveal and skewer simultaneously. This story will inspire and support those troubled with the condition and their families and friends, the world over.
BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY The Journey of a Priest Murchadh Ó Madagáin
In this stirringly honest autobiography, Fr. Ó Madagáin shares his story of how he felt called to serve God and others through the priesthood. He describes his experiences at Medjugorje and Lourdes and how he was moved by the extraordinary sacrifices of individuals both there and in Rome, where he completed his theological education.
BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY is no bland endorsement for the vocation of the priesthood, however. Twice Fr. Ó Madagáin suffered burnout caused by both the mental and physical demands placed upon him as a priest. These moments, described in harrowing detail, in turn led him to question not only whether he was suited for the priesthood, but the very nature of faith itself.
E.A. Bennet's biography of C. G. Jung went to press just a few days before Jung's death in 1961. Over the preceding fifteen years Bennet had met frequently with Jung at his home and stayed there as his guest. Their many talks about Jung's childhood his family his career and the development of his ideas yielded the material for this authorized biography. In the months before publication Jung read and corrected Bennet's book in typescript making this the only biography of Jung to have been written during the subject's life with his supervision and approval. Thanks to Bennet's unique opportunities to hear Jung's personal perspective-on subjects from Freud to Hitler and including a valuable correspondence about Aion regarded as Jung's most difficult book C.G. JUNG sheds new light for today's scholars on Jung's work and on the man himself. Edward Armstrong Bennet (1888-1977) a psychiatrist and Jungian analyst held degrees from Trinity College in philosophy theology and medicine and was well known as an outstanding psychotherapist and lecturer. In addition to being Jung's student and colleague he was also a close personal friend for three decades. Bennet was a leader in introducing Jung's psychotherapeutic approach to the English-speaking world. He was the author of several books.

CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE? A Memoir of a Life for Change Robert Schwartz
"I have titled these memoirs Can You Make a Difference?" writes economist and social activist Robert Schwartz, "because trying to make a difference is pretty much what most of my life has been about. And I like to think I have made at least a small difference."
Schwartz is being modest. This book is a testament to the extraordinary times that Robert Schwartz has lived through and the efforts he has made to be up to the challenge those times posed.
Growing up with a strong social conscience, Schwartz has dedicated a considerable portion of his eighty-five years to trying to build a more just, peaceful, democratic and habitable world. He helped establish the American Veterans Committee, Peace Action (formerly SANE), Wall Street Executives Against the War, Socially Responsible Investments and Economists Allied for Arms Reduction.
As the distinguished economist and social critic John Kenneth Galbraith writes in his foreword, "this is the history of a lifetime of intelligent and commanding effort."
CAN YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?, however, is more than a memoir of a life dedicated to human and civil rights in the United States. It is a call for the younger generation to repair a degraded environment, stop the encroaching limitations on civil rights, and banish once and for all the still-present spectre of discrimination.
